High-quality Baukultur for Europe!

In January 2018, the European Ministers of Culture adopted the Davos Declaration “Towards a high-quality Baukultur for Europe”. It highlights pathways for politically and strategically promoting the concept of high-quality Baukultur. It reminds us that building is culture and creates space for culture. More and more countries, organizations, institutions and companies are committing to the declaration. It is quoted all over the world and widely discussed.

The Davos Declaration forms the basis on which the Baukultur movement will continue in terms of academic content and strategic political orientation. The Baukultur movement develops scientifically central themes and clarifies key terms of the Davos Declaration. At the same time, it advocates for the implementation of strategies at a political level that acknowledge the cultural aspects of preservation, planning and building and establish high-quality Baukultur as a political priority. The Davos Process accumulates these varied, international initiatives.
